Meet Sue
Hello, I’m Sue, founder and owner of Buddy & Beau Dog Grooming.
After a 25 year career in design and print, I decided to retrain professionally in dog grooming to combine my lifelong love of dogs with a career built around care, patience, and wellbeing.
I trained in Dorset alongside experienced groomers under the tuition of Sue Gould, completing my City & Guilds qualification and further specialist training covering coat care, health and safety, salon management, and first aid.
When I opened Buddy & Beau in 2019, I knew I wanted to create something very different from the busy, conveyor belt style salons many dogs can find overwhelming. I wanted dog grooming near Banbury to feel calmer, more personal, and genuinely centred around each dog’s comfort and emotional wellbeing.
Today, Buddy & Beau has grown into a trusted countryside grooming studio where dogs are given the time, patience, and understanding they deserve.

My grooming philosophy is built around creating positive experiences for dogs through calm handling, patience, and trust.
Every dog is different, and I believe grooming should always be approached with kindness, understanding, and respect for the individual dog in front of you. Some dogs love the process immediately, while others need a little more time and reassurance to feel comfortable, and that’s completely okay.
Alongside creating a calm experience, I’m passionate about maintaining healthy coats, skin, and overall wellbeing through realistic grooming routines and honest advice for owners at home.
Above all else, welfare always comes first.
