What personal information we collect
This website provides information about our grooming services. It does not currently include an online form, booking system, customer account or online payments. When you get in touch with us by email, telephone or social media, we collect the information you choose to give us, such as your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry.
Where it is relevant to the service you ask us to provide, we may also collect information about your dog, such as their name, breed, age, grooming requirements and anything you choose to tell us about their health, behaviour or temperament. Information about an animal is not normally personal data in itself, but it may form part of a record that identifies you as the owner or customer.
How we collect personal information
We receive personal information directly from you when you contact us, request or make an appointment, pay for a service or otherwise deal with us. We may also receive information through service providers used to operate our business, such as our email provider.
Why we use personal information and our lawful bases
Enquiries and pre contract steps. We use the information you provide to respond to enquiries, give prices and take steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract. The lawful basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Providing grooming services and managing appointments. We use customer and appointment information to provide the agreed grooming service, manage appointments, communicate with you about them and look after the customer relationship. The lawful basis is performance of a contract.
Payments and financial records. We use relevant information to take or record payments and to keep accounting and tax records. Depending on the activity, the lawful basis is performance of a contract or compliance with a legal obligation.
Customer service and business administration. We may use our records to answer questions, deal with any complaint, keep appropriate records and improve the way we work. Where appropriate, the lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and protecting a small grooming business, balanced against your rights.
Marketing. We will only send electronic marketing where we have the appropriate consent or other lawful permission. You can unsubscribe or object at any time by contacting us. [to confirm: whether Sue sends any email or SMS marketing, and which platform she uses]

Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you the right to ask us for access to your personal information, to correct inaccurate information, to erase information, to restrict processing, to receive certain information in a portable format, or to object to particular processing.
